It's true...

Cade is going to be a big brother. We are having a baby sometime in early December. We are very excited and a little scared, but mostly we just can't wait to meet this little person :)

Forever

I know...I know...it's been forever since I've posted anything. Between gallbladder surgery, liver failure, birthdays the whole month of January and just life in general, this place has been hopping. I'm going to be better. I promise! Updates on our life follow soon :)

Oh Christmas Tree...

We got our Christmas tree decorated this week...Finally! It is always a chaotic event at our house. We all put our own ornaments on the tree and then Cade puts all the others on while we watch. This year he put them on from his perch on the treadclimber. Both Tikka and Rugar thought that he needed some assistance...so of course, they jumped in to help. Poor old Jade dog just lounged by the door and observed. It's so nice to have it decorated. Between the snow that we have outside and the decorated tree...it's really beginning to feel like Christmas :)

FALLing into winter

It's starting to really feel like winter here. You can seriously feel snow in the air here. As I'm not a winter/snow kind of person....let's reminisce about fall shall we?

Mudbugs

While in Hawaii, we each picked an activity. Todd picked an atv ride and I picked a tube ride through the irrigation canals on one of the old sugar cane plantations. As the tube ride was in the dark (duh it was in a tunnel) there are no pictures to share, BUT we have lots from our atv ride. We have 4-wheelers here at home so we opted to ride in a 2-person vehicle they call a mudbug. It has no fenders which leads to some serious mud to the occupants of the vehicle. It was a total blast! We had to wear rented clothes as not to ruin our own with the ever-staining red mud that makes up Kauai. We also got to swim in a waterfall when we stopped for lunch. The water was COLD, but it was quite an experience. I'm ready to go back anytime...

This is not us, but we looked like this most of the time.

Hand-dug tunnel used to transport sugar cane back in the day.

Hi!

Are we there yet?

What happens on the island, stays on the island...

In the beginning of October, Todd and I took a much needed trip to Kauai. It was wonderful! It was warm and beautiful and we got some alone time which is always a bonus :) Here are some pictures of our week there.
